The road to achieving social inclusion in eGovernment services is paved with numerous challenges. Many socially excluded individuals face a range of barriers—poor digital literacy, financial constraints, lack of access to ICT, or multiple overlapping disadvantages like unemployment, homelessness, and health issues.
However, governments can overcome these challenges through partnerships with NGOs, social enterprises, and community groups that have deeper knowledge of local needs. Resource management and capacity building are also critical in ensuring that public services reach the people who need them the most.
The key lies in creating flexible and adaptable services that are not just technically advanced but also user-friendly and accessible to all, regardless of their socio-economic status.
